Much of the effort in these analyses has focused on the use of a variety of data mining tools such as the evaluation of prostate cancer using peaks in the mass to charge (M/Z) region between 2 K and 40 K combined with boosted decision tree analysis [ 10 ] to try to detect patterns that allow the diagnosis of cancer versus non-cancer.
