In human brain tissue, olanzapine displays very high affinity for the H1 histamine receptor, high affinity for 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C receptors [ 12 ] . In addition it also shows affinity for D2, muscarinic, and alpha1 receptors, with lower affinity for alpha2, 5-HT1D and 5-HT1A receptors (Table 1 [ 12 ] ).
