How can you use “causal” in a sentence? Here are some example sentences to help you improve your vocabulary:

  • Although past studies have shown that extended periods of wakefulness cause changes in gene expression (for review see [ 15 ] ), no causal relationship between changes in gene expression and sleep homeostasis has been identified.
