How can you use “a-c” in a sentence? Here are some example sentences to help you improve your vocabulary:

  • When composition is summed across all three codon positions (for example, CGA and GGT would be counted among the eight codons comprised of two G or C and one A or T, with the A/T at the third position), the model is remarkably accurate for both bacteria (Figure 4a-c) and eukaryotes (Figure 4d), though in each case, GC3 shows the greatest deviations from the model (perhaps indicating that the labile GC3 is 'fine tuned' by the other selective pressures linked to codon usage).

  • Likelihood parameters for the dataset were determined by Modeltest 3.06 for the TrN+G model, and included the following: base frequencies of A = 0.2482, C = 0.207, G = 0.2466, T = 0.2982; r-matrix values of A-C = 1.0000, A-G = 3.1857, A-T = 1.0000, C-G = 1.0000, C-T = 5.1655, G-T = 1.0000; and a gamma distribution of 0.5663.

  • The diversity of C3' side chain orientations is illustrated in Figure 2, in which the diterpenoid core A-C rings have been superimposed, and amplified with reference to specific torsions in Table 1. The first five are those with the highest estimated populations (4 to 35%) with a ΔG range of 0.0-1.

  • Neighbor-joining and maximum parsimony methods were used to construct phylogenetic trees for each of the gene families (Figure 6a-c).
