The absolute frequency of the haplotype A*03-B*47 was increased in central Alabama hemochromatosis probands, whereas a "corrected" frequency of A*03-B*47 was increased in hemochromatosis patients from Denmark [ 8 ] . The other aforementioned haplotypes (except A*03-B*07 and A*03-B*14) have not been reported to occur with increased frequency in any hemochromatosis cohort from locations other than Alabama.
