How can you use “loops” in a sentence? Here are some example sentences to help you improve your vocabulary:

  • The loops containing the NPA motif, located to the carboxy-terminal side of TM2 and TM5, respectively, overlap in the middle of the lipid bilayer ('hourglass' model) and form two hemipores that generate a narrow channel [ 15, 16, 17].

  • Since unpaired nucleotides in known miRNAs have a tendency to be found in symmetric loops, the presence of asymmetric loops and bulged nucleotides was further penalized.
