Incontinence has also been reported following therapy with other atypical neuroleptics such as risperidone [ 7 8 9 ] and recently, olanzapine [ 10 ] .

  • Accordingly, on the basis of existing evidence, the use of dopamine to improve renal function cannot be recommended.

  • Indeed, dopamine's multiple effects (even at low doses) make it the perfect pressor/inotropic agent when such a combination is warranted.
