The core designing and programming of VocbularySize.com was undertaken from July to October 2010 as a group project for SWEN 302 — Agile Methods, a third-year course offered by the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Victoria University of Wellington. The following people were involved in the project:

Cameron Gray former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in computer science in 2011. Cameron remains a contributor to the project and is involved in beta testing and performance monitoring whilst working full time in Malaysia.
Josephine Hall former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in 2010.
Patrick Hindmarsh former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in computer science in 2010. Patrick also provided the initial PHP framework which powers VocabularySize.com, generously hosts the site's repository and issue tracker, and remains a frequent contributor to the project.
Nicholas Lim former SWEN 302 student; completed a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration and a Bachelor of Science in 2011. He continues an active interest in the project.
Daniel Park former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in 2011.
Felix (Fuci) Shi former SWEN 302 student; completed a BE in engineering in 2011.
Philip Walkerdine former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in 2010.
Henry Williams former SWEN 302 student; completed a BSc in electrical engineering in 2011.
Myq Larson PhD student in the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies who started this project as a weekend hobby but quickly realised that he lacked the skills needed to make a truly professional web-based service. After spending several months vicariously learning PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL from the students on the team, he now serves as the primary developer and main point of contact.
